The sun slapped you right in the face, but the sea breeze lest it to be quite pleasant. In general, the weather in May is quite stable to travel Phu Yen, a place so peaceful that it is empty.
Let’s start with the basic of travel Phu Yen
I stayed in the center of the city, it is easy to go around but extremely far away from some famous photography places, more than you can imagine. Here are some nice hotels you can consider:
-Royal Palms Hotel 18 Dong Khoi (300,000-450,000 VND/night)
-Sala Tuy Hoa Beach 51 Independent (850,000 VND/night)
Rent a scooter here for 120,000VND/day, and you can drive everywhere. Some places to take pictures are quite marvelous, of course, if you have a good photographer with you, that’s better!
A travel city, where most of the place is far from the center
You can follow this order because of the long-distance and near the same direction of the city.
- Bãi Xép – Xép Beach
- Gành Đá Dĩa – Da Dia Reef
- Ganh Den lighthouse
- Mr. Tiger’s Wood Bridge
- Mằng Lăng Church
Going from the city, to see all of the above attractions, it will take you around 100km for a round-trip.
I see the most beautiful pictures taken at Bai Xep and Ong Cop Bridge (is a super long wooden bridge, spanning two villages, the weak bridge is rumbling but it is the simplicity that makes the attraction) standing between the beautiful bridge.
There are some special places, especially Ganh Da Dia. Each space will take about 20,000 VND/person.
The sea is beautiful, and peaceful
The next day, it went in the opposite direction, so it was necessary to filter and choose the points close to each other because they were too far away. I went from dawn to watch the sunrise at Mui Dien. Probably around 4 o’clock is the most beautiful:
- Thuy Nhan (at the forefront of the city center, Cham tower style, beautiful and no-cost entry; parking outside costs 5,000 VND only).

Going to Hon Nua is super nice, but you have to ride to Vung Ro Port and rent a boat (800,000-1,200,000VND/trip) so it will be cheaper to go east. Ba Dua is the most famous.
We have two people but there is no one around, so lucky to go to Canteen Vung Ro and buy some stuff. You have to buy food or buy live food to rent or rent to cook because there is no restaurant out there.
The sea in Phu Yen is super beautiful and clear. Tourism is not so developed, so the sea is clean because there are few tourists. Hon Nua is the place to visit, taking pictures of the camera is beautiful and regardless of the angle.
Don’t forget experience the food when you travel Phu Yen
Talking about Phu Yen’s food is also called super cheap. Amazingly cheap and super delicious food. It’s all in the center of the city, so it’s good to travel.

Tea 3K Co Nam Co Phuong 44 Duy Tan (11h-21h) type of black bean red lotus and pretty longan
Banh Canh Chives Thanh Tam Opposite 30 Dien Bien Phu (15h-21h) very good. Bat 20,000 VND; super crowded
Banh Canh Duc Luan 57A Phan Dinh Phung
Banh Hoi Piglet 118 Hung Vuong (at the foot of the flyover of Hung Vuong DL) only sell light. Clean, cheap delicious 15,000VND. All kinds of heart, sweet and slightly spicy fish sauce easy to eat
Baked Ram, Grilled Beef Gate Truong Van Chanh Gate 5 Phan Luu Thanh (15h-21h)
Coc Kieu has several dozen types always, about 30,000-50,000 VND/plate. Any kind of snail is very good. She sells at Opposite 166 Nguyen Cong Tru (10h-18h)
In my opinion, 3 days 2 nights in Phu Yen is more than enough to travel, as the city is not too big and there are quite a few beautiful destinations. Phu Yen is simple and undeveloped to a crowded tourist level. Moving in the city is very spacious, and Tuy Hoa has a big market so you can go early to buy miscellaneous items or as a gift.
