Being one of the most famous leisure destinations in Vietnam, Dalat city gives tourists of all nationalities, including Vietnamese travelers a chill, literally, whenever they come to this place.

With a height of 1500 meters above the sea level, the weather in Dalat is cool and is an ideal retreat in the south area of Vietnam.

Along with multiple sites for tourism attraction, and only about 300 kilometers from Saigon, Dalat city is a great accommodation, helping visitors escape the sweltering heat of the southern delta region.

For getting to Dalat from other Cities

By Airplane

There are direct flights of Vietnam Airlines and VietJetAir, departing from Hanoi, Danang or Ho Chi Minh City to Lien Khuong airport (Dalat).

Ticket prices range from 900,000 VND to 1.6 million VND, and the flight time from 50 minutes to 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Note: From the Lien Khuong airport, you can take the bus of the airport in Dalat (stop at the Hang Khong hotel, on Pasteur Street, near Xuan Huong Lake) for only 50,000 VND; or take a taxi about for 300,000 VND / turn.

By Coach (Travel Bus)

Phuong Trang and Thanh Buoi car brand have many trips for the route from Sai Gon to Dalat and vice versa.

The fare ranges between 230,000 VND (beds) / ticket / direction. The buses run continuously, at frequencies of between 30 minutes and 1 hour.

Limousine car

Minh Tri Limousine cars are fully imported VIP cars with a passenger compartment of 9 massage seats.

By motorcycle

Actually, this will give you a brand new experience. If you’re planning to get to Dalat by bike, you should be prepared for a 6-10 hours journey.

But that’s not all, you will experience the most amazing view from the cols on the ride, and dangerous, too. If you are familiar with using Google Maps, you will have no problems getting to Dalat by bike.

In conclusion, we do not encourage you to travel Dalat by motorcycle if you’re not used to Vietnam’s traffic. But if you decide to go with this option, we will give you a detailed guide on how to later.

For traveling while you’re in Dalat

You can find most of the other city vehicles in Da Lat. However, we recommend you using these 3 for the best traveling experience.

Motorcycles: Price from 80,000-120,000VND/day. You can easily find it near the center square, or Dalat Night Market area. Also, I believe almost every hotel or homestay you choose in Dalat will have the motorbike rental service.

Double Bicycle: VND 20,000/hour. To rent a bicycle or motorcycle, you need to bring your ID card. This can be recommended as a couple must-do activity here.

Rental cars: Daytime rental (from 8:00 – 17:00) from 1 million VND or above. The price for those hours after 17:00 will be counted 100,000VND/hour.
