Travel Phu Quoc day 1: Hanoi – Phu Quoc
Transportation from Ha Noi to Phu Quoc
Departure from home to the airport at 5am, the plane takes off at 7am. It was after 9:00 a.m. when I arrived. I had booked a car through an acquaintance, so the driver was already waiting.

Even though we had breakfast in the morning, we were on the plane for more than 2 hours so everyone felt hungry. The whole family decided to try the famous mackerel soup here. The bowl of Banh Canh is very filling, with lots of fish and fish cakes, but also very fresh, the fish cakes don’t have a lot of flour like what we eat in Hanoi.
After breakfast, we went to visit and burn incense at Dinh Cau and Dinh Ba. The view from Dinh Cau overlooking the sea is extremely beautiful. Before returning to the hotel, my family took the opportunity to have lunch on April 30 Street. The driver introduced our family to Ra Khoi restaurant, which is also famous here.
After eating, we moved back to the hotel, checked in, and rested. Because everyone was tired, they slept until the afternoon.
Explore Phu Quoc
When the sun was less, the whole family moved to the beach near Dinh Cau. People often call this a public beach, because it is not privately purchased by any hotel or resort.
Although this beach’s sand is not as white or clean as other beaches, compared to other beaches I have been to, the water is actually very clear, and there are many small schools of fish swimming with me. Enjoying the sunset here, although not the most beautiful, is great.
After swimming, everyone returned to the hotel to shower and prepare for dinner. Before that, I found out that everyone said dinner at seafood restaurants at the night market was very expensive, but after my afternoon experience, I found it was still better here.
My family took a walk around and saw which restaurant had the most customers, so we went in. Finally, my family chose Gia Nghia restaurant, right near the beginning of the night market.
There’s a lot of seafood swimming around here, it’s dizzying to look at, luckily the salesman is very helpful with advice. Not only can you quickly choose the types of seafood worth trying, but you will also be advised on the most suitable way to prepare them.
Whichever fish I choose, the restaurant will catch them whole, weigh them, and then process them. I think the food here is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Even though it’s higher than a normal meal, it’s all about seafood.

Travel Phu Quoc day 2: Ham Ninh – Southern Phu Quoc Island
When I went it was December so the sea was rough in the south of the island, so I couldn’t dive to see the coral in this area. Actually, it’s still possible, but it’s not beautiful, so we chose to dive to see coral in the north of the island.
My family went to visit Long Beach Pearl, pepper garden, myrtle garden, then went to Ham Ninh for lunch. When you travel Phu Quoc, you must definitely try crabs. The day we returned, my family stopped by here to buy boxed crabs to bring back to Hanoi. Everyone said watching the sunrise in Ham Ninh was great, but no one in my family can wake up early so we skipped this show.
After lunch, he drove his family to Ho Quoc Truc Lam Zen Monastery. The location here is so beautiful, the back is against the mountain, the front looks out to the sea. Therefore, the atmosphere here is extremely pleasant. However, when I went, the monastery was still in the process of being built and completed. But it’s still very beautiful nonetheless.
Next, we went to visit the Phung Hung fish sauce factory and Phu Quoc prison. At this point, only adults came in, but I didn’t dare so I just walked around.
The last attraction is Sao beach, known as the most beautiful beach in Phu Quoc. The sand here is white and smooth, the beach is also very pleasant. After swimming, we got in the car to go back to the hotel. In the evening, go to the night market to eat seafood.
Travel Phu Quoc day 3: North Phu Quoc Island
First, we went to Nguyen Trung Truc temple, right next to the beach. The sea here is also very beautiful, but it is impossible to swim because of many reefs.
After that, my uncle drove me to the bee farm. I also don’t see anyone reviewing this place. However, this place is quite lovely, planted with many types of plants from flowers to fruit trees for bees to collect honey. After that, I also enjoyed honey tea.
Next, we went to Ganh Dau cape, boarded a boat to the island to snorkel and see the coral. I was so excited that I went down to look but didn’t take any pictures. The coral in Phu Quoc is very beautiful, more colorful than in places I’ve been to.
After watching the coral, we got tired and rested, then we returned to shore. Lunch at Bien Hai restaurant. This restaurant is famous for fresh seafood, and the shrimp here are super big.
In the afternoon, my family stopped by VinWonders Phu Quoc to play. When you arrive, just show the electronic ticket on your phone to enter. It’s not too crowded here, so you don’t need to queue for long to play the games.

Travel Phu Quoc day 4: Go to the seafood market – return to Hanoi
The market is in Duong Dong town, right near the shore, so in the morning there are countless types of newly caught seafood. I have never seen ink anywhere that is as fresh and flashes as beautifully as here, it looks so magical. Everyone goes sightseeing and also takes the opportunity to buy gifts.
The only thing is that the crab here is not as good as Ham Ninh, so we still decided to go around Ham Ninh to buy it when going to the airport. My family also bought some seafood to cook at the hotel for lunch and then go to the airport.
